작년(2015년)에 로스아미고스와 코바나에서 연주했던 영상들을 모아 편집해봤습니다. 지금은 아주 가끔 엑스트라 연주만 하는 팀이지만 Cobana같은경우 4년정도 활동하며 영상에서와 같이 하이헷 옆에 팀발레스를 놓고 함께 연주하는데 이걸 적응하느라 몇달간 애먹었던 기억이 생생하네요. 아프로큐반 클래식 250여곡정도를 매달 돌아가며 연주했는데 상당히 어려운곡을 복잡한 악보와 함께 연주해야했기 스트레스는 굉장히 많이 받았지만 나중엔 타임키핑, 초견, 테크닉, 다이내믹 표현력이 굉장히 늘었던 학교같은 밴드였습니다.

Cobana is the only Cuban-jazz big band available in Korea, formed by a famous Korean percussionist Chung-Bae Chung. Los Amigos, a band formed by some of Cobana’s members, also performs a similar style of music. In both bands, I was requested to play the drum kit, as well as the timbales. During four years with Cobana and Los Amigos, I have performed over 250 pieces of Latin repertoire, and developed required skills such as a high capability of sight-reading, time-keeping, dynamic expression, and endurance.
